Now on to the Bathroom

True to remolding form, one little project has turned into another moldy nightmare.
Our vanity imploded when it was removed. Fortunately the mold behind it bleached out pretty easily.

There were a few small tiles that need replacing in the shower, or so we hoped. Unfortunately when my brother ripped them out we discovered a very ugly sight.

So what could we do but some demo!

Because the mold had spread so far we decided ripping out all the tile and drywall was the only way to contain the situation.

And what did we find but more mold! The wall at the back of the tub is double layered because it separates us from our neighbors. The mold had managed to make its way right through both layers.

What does that mean? The tub comes out next so we can replace the 2nd layer of drywall. Oh boy, looks like we will be showering at the beach.

The kitchen counter is looking very close to complete.

We just need to add the molding to the front edge and then seal it. Hurray!
